Bright and tasty

That is what we’re called to be – bright and tasty. Or for you more traditionalists out there, we are called to be salt and light in accordance to Matthew 5:13-16.

Bright – We are to shine Jesus out into the world so that He’s lifted up and that men and women, boys and girls are drawn to the Light of the World and are saved.

Tasty- We’re also to be tasty… attractive to everyone who doesn’t know Jesus yet. And also ‘good’… fruitful… being like Jesus.

Tough call… but it’s possible. That was my prayer at the church staff meeting tonight; “Lord, make us to be salt and light for you” – especially in a very dark and tasteless world.
