Confess your sins… to your iPhone?!

Yes, that’s right. In a way to obey James 5:16 within the age of technology,  The Catholic Church have decided to make it easier for people to confess their sins. All they have to do is download a Confession App for their iPhone at £1.19 and then trawl their way through the Ten Commandments and ticking the multitude of sins that are applicable to them.

Here’s what the description of the app says…

Designed to be used in the confessional, this app is the perfect aid for every penitent. With a personalized examination of conscience for each user, password protected profiles, and a step-by-step guide to the sacrament, this app invites Catholics to prayerfully prepare for and participate in the Rite of Penance. Individuals who have been away from the sacrament for some time will find Confession: A Roman Catholic App to be a useful and inviting tool.

Crazy times! Though some Catholics have found it helpful and useful…

I don’t know whether this has any use at all. Maybe focuses on the sin more than the grace part of confession?

What do you think?!
