Today, I took the liberty of taking the day off from going to St. Paul’s and decided to visit my previous church, Highfields Church in Cardiff. It was a great opportunity to go for two reasons.
It was different to be back. Peter Baker (senior minister) talked about leadership, which was relevant to me, seeing as I’m starting the process of ordination. Highfields is a great church that does a lot and I’m thankful for the time that had there.
However, God showed me again today that my calling to St Paul’s was God given and confirmed that within me again. That’s not to say I was having doubts about St Paul’s! But it was nice for God to say “This is all part of your journey. Highfields is the end of a chapter, St Paul’s is the start of something new.”
God is good!
