A final word on the May 21st Rapture Prediction.

Well, it’s May 21st, it’s past 6 o’clock, and the rapture has not occurred.

What is my conclusion on this? Well there is only one word for it, and that is FAIL.

I cannot believe the amount of time and attention that has been given to Harold Camping. Well, actually I can. People love to put a loony on the airwaves who uses the guise of Christianity. So how has Camping become such a failure?

  1. The obvious one is that the rapture has not occurred.
  2. The Bible clearly states that no one knows when the second coming will happen. Does this not resonate with Camping at all?
  3. The Bible also warns to not add or take anything away from scripture. Anyone who does such a thing will be cursed; and Harold Camping will now be getting his curse…

He has been shown up and revealed as a phoney. He’s had some agenda (probably a money driven one) and he’s made a complete fool of himself.

In the letters of John in the Bible, one is told to be discerning and to weigh things and situations up in the Spirit. Well, it didn’t take much discerning or weighing of things up for me to work out that this guy is a false prophet.

Camping was dying for 6pm to come; and so was I. But I think we had different reasons for longing. He wanted the rapture to come (or did he?!) and I wanted this whole mess to be over.

Let’s hope that Camping doesn’t get away with this ludicrous episode. It’s now up to the Church to start to try and repair the damage that this idiot has caused and all the bad stereotypes he has injected into our society.

Over to you; what are your conclusions?
