Steadfast minds and revision.

Been doing some hardcore revision today for a New Testament Epistles exam with my good friend Jayne Guilford. This revision will continue until the exam in just over a weeks time.

If I’m honest, I’m pretty stressed about it. No word of a lie there. And I think my trust in God slips when exams are just round the corner.

They become an object in my life.

You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you. – Isaiah 26:3

Isaiah is telling me that complete trust and steadfastness brings perfect peace, because God is the one who I should be thinking about constantly, as he is the one who is worthy of all effort, worship and praise. Not some exam stress that’s taking my eyes off Jesus.

Therefore, my challenge from this point on is to revise with Jayne with Jesus being the focus… not the stress of exams.

If you’re revising at this point, maybe you could set yourself the same challenge?
