Being prayed for and blessed because of it.

I felt really blessed at church today. It was today that my church officially ‘commissioned’ me into my new job as Pastoral Assistant of St Paul’s. I’ve been in the job for over two months now, but it was a real honour to be commissioned into my job officially. So I was asked to come to the front of church, and Justin (my vicar/boss) told the congregation about me, and then he invited people to come and pray for me and lay hands on me. I have to say that I was really moved by how many came up, and the prayers that people had for me. It was a really sweet and Spirit filled time.

Not only that, but I was blessed with the Highveld Cross too. The Highveld Cross is a metal cross given by our link parish in the Highveld. It is used to bless a family or individual each week to let them know that our church is praying for that family/person. I think it’s a great idea, and this Sunday, it was my turn to have it as a sign of my commissioning.

So there we go, I’ve had a really cool Sunday being blessed! Do any of you have a prayer request or a testimony to tell? Let me know in the comments!
