Bible Sunday (The Bible Society)

Today at church we celebrated Bible Sunday which started via the Bible Society. They have the aim and purpose of spreading God’s good news to everyone in the world via bible translation, distribution and teaching. I didn’t know how much work these guys did until I researched them! Truly amazing. We give to them financially as a church, and it seemed fitting to celebrate the work of these guys seen as we’ve just had an influx of Iranians who have recently become Christians and received Farsi language bibles from us, which were translated by the Bible Society. Anyway, have a look at this video:

What did you think of the video? When I first watched it, I was thinking how fortunate we are in the UK to have the Bible freely available to us. Our Iranian friends are not allowed by law to carry a bible, so it puts things into perspective!

Do you think we are grateful enough as Christians for the Bible? What could we do to be more appreciative of it?

Do you think the Bible is valuable for society?

Let me know your thoughts!
