The Christian New Media Awards Report #cnmac11 @xiannewmedia

Well here it is everyone! My official report from the Christian New Media Awards 2011! It’s been such an amazing weekend and I’ve barely had chance to sit down and write a post over the weekend. But at long last, I have the time to do a write up of the event.

You will know by now that I won the Best blog for Under 25s. I have to say that it’s a massive privilege, a great delight, a big honour and a very humbling thing to be awarded the best blog for this category. I really didn’t expect to win, but seen as I have, I want to thank you all personally for your contribution; for your reading, for your comments, for your emails, and for you interaction. You have made the blog what it is, and if it wasn’t for your continued support then I may not possess the title of best Christian Blogger for the Under 25s. Thank you.

So, here’s the full list of winners! 😀

I’d really encourage any bloggers out there to enter the Christian New Media Awards for 2012. You’d love the experience! The conference is also something that I’d recommend. Though I have to say that I was absent from the conference because I had a wedding to go to in Birmingham on that day. But both the awards and the conference are great networking opportunities; opportunities to learn and grow as a Christian in the digital world. I have to say that I made some lovely friends, and I’m looking forward to what God is going to do with those friendships as I seek his will in where he wants the blog to go.

So as for the future… what next? To be honest, I don’t know, but some blogs have asked me to be a guest contributor and a Christian publishing company have asked me to start reviewing some books for them, which is amazing! I’m quite overwhelmed by it all to be honest! But God is good, and I’m sure that I’m going to love taking on these new hobbies of writing on other blogs and reviewing books. Who knows what other opportunities may arise!

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my weekend, and I will post videos and pictures of the evening as soon as they become available! There are also other posts that are on the blog that relate to this, so please do have a look at them. And also, please have a look at all the other winners that are in the list above – those people are doing some great things to advance the Kingdom in the online world!
