As I write this post, I am in bed. Ill. I’m feeling sick and have a big headache and feeling really tired. Yet I haven’t actually been sick. So I’m off work, and I *hopefully* have a doctors appointment tomorrow. Readers, I’m really sorry that I haven’t been posting on my blog for the last couple of weeks. Things have really got on top of me and I have so much to do. And I think that’s the reasons why I’m ill. I think I’m going into burnout.
I’ve been trying to do countless things and I have so much to sort out it’s unreal. And most of the things I need to do are things/jobs that only I can do. In other words, people can’t help me. After finishing my degree, I moved from student status to practically unemployed. I needed to find a job. That was stressful. Then a company rang me even though I didn’t apply for a job there and asked me for an interview. I got the job. I thanked God that he had provided, but something didn’t feel quite right after starting. And to be honest, there are lots of better jobs around. And I was tricked into feeling that God had let me down. That he provided me with something that wasn’t the best for me. So I’m a little stuck at the moment.
In fact, I’m very stuck and have been praying for long periods every day as to what God wants me to do. And it was last night that I remembered Micah 6:8. God requires to do good. And by good it is to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly.
I’m still trying to work out what that exactly means. And how that fits into the job situation, and especially now that I’m ill. Life is a learning curve, and sometimes the curve is a lot harsher than other times.
Please pray for me – I could really do with prayer for clarity of mind, direction (especially job wise) and I would also love God to open a door for me job wise in Newport, where I’m moving to very soon.
More posts to come shortly, I promise.
