The “Festival Christian” Saint one minute then rabid sinner the next.

Something that I’ve noticed recently is the phenomena of the ‘Festival Christian’. Now, most Christians go to festivals. I bet you’re thinking of the one that you’ve been on this year as I write! Yes, what a wonderful experience it must have been.

Christian festivals are great. I’ve written about them before. But what about the ‘Festival Christian’ as opposed to the ‘Christian Festival’?

Well, from my observations, it is quite clear that some ‘Christians’ go to festivals to be a Holy Christian for the summer, and then live the rest of the year as if they never knew God at all. You know what I mean… they go to all the seminars, they spend hours in prayer, they go for prayer ministry, they advise others on the christian life…

…then they go home and get drunk all the while, sleep around, don’t evangelise, sin sin sin.

Then I thought… “But hang on! We can all be Festival Christians!”

Yes. All of us. God has therefore challenged me to not be one. And I challenge you not to be one either.
