Life is Worth Exploring

eople always used to tell me to make the most of my life… and they still do! Life is worth exploring. Within our church life at the moment, we have countless people exploring life for themselves, because they know it’s worth it! I’m not just talking about going on wild adventures, doing things that are out of the ordinary and ‘living each day as if it’s their last’, I’m talking about exploring the meaningand purpose to life itself. Is there more to life than this? Is there more to the everyday? Is there a purpose to our lives?

In St Paul’s, people are exploring these questions through our Sunday services, through Iranian Alpha Course, through Christening , through Mums and Toddlers and through various other areas of church lfie. As Christmas approaches, we have a golden opportunity to give answers to those all important questions about God, life and the universe.

We are really committed to our church strapline: Welcoming people to meet Jesus. Christmas, for us, is all about that. Throughout our Christmas Services, we will be focussing on what it’s all about and why Jesus is so important. After Christmas, there will be chance to explore even further with the Alpha Course, a course done by over 17 million people which addresses life’s most important questions. We’re really excited by it and hope you are too. We’ll be inviting all those attending our Christmas services to the Alpha Course for some meaningful conversation in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where they can be open, honest and ask questions. It’s a great course for anyone who wants to find out more about Jesus and Christianity. I can’t wait to get started on it!

We advertise all this stuff and put on all these events because mission is important to us. Without mission, there is no Church. Jesus commanded us to make sure that we spread the good news  about him. Therefore, we believe that Christmas and Alpha are two great opportunities to introduce people to Jesus. We’d love for you to join us on this journey and to keep St Paul’s in your prayers as we endeavour to make Christmas a life-changing time for the better to many this year as they come to know Jesus for themselves.
