Claiming Truths for our Hearts from His Heart

The Summer Holidays are nearly over, and therefore I return from my blogging vacation. DeanRoberts.Net is back and active and I guess as it’s the first day back from my time at Momentum, I want to make myself aware that I don’t travel back to real every day life unequipped, powerless, or forgotten. Christ in me the hope of Glory is what I’ve been thinking about.

You may feel that, if you’ve been to a Christian festival, that you just can’t bear what you’re going back to. You don’t want to go back to work, you don’t want to do life out of the confines of a Christian community. Yet what God calls us to is something bigger than a conference or festival and not only does he call us, but matches that call by the giving of himself. The Holy Spirit living inside of us is like the secret weapon (for want of a better phrase) that we never seem to call upon. This year, I’m going to make a conscious effort to not just talk about the Holy Spirit and His power, but to live in it. That way, the reality of Christ living in me and the glory that it brings will surely become more real to me.

I get really emotional and connected to people/places. I think that’s OK. But living in that can be a nightmare. Living in the truth of God’s provision for us makes it easier to handle that emotion and connectedness. That and staying in touch with the special and wonderful people you meet and deepening those relationships. It’s never “I” in the Christian life… it’s always “us”.
